The Esports Foundation has officially announced France TΓ©lΓ©visions as the Official French Media Partner for the Esports World Cup (EWC) 2026, marking a major milestone in bringing competitive gaming to mainstream television across France.

As Paris hosts the biggest esports event of the year, France TΓ©lΓ©visions will deliver daily EWC coverage through a dedicated segment titled "La Minute EWC." The show will feature tournament highlights, match recaps, and exclusive updates, airing every evening on France 4, with late-night broadcasts on France 2, while also streaming on france.tv and the broadcaster's digital platforms.

The partnership is expected to significantly expand esports' reach in France, where the Esports Foundation says 11.8 million people are interested in esports. By broadcasting the tournament on national television, EWC aims to introduce competitive gaming to a broader audience beyond traditional esports fans.

EWC 2026 is set to welcome more than 2,000 players from over 100 countries, competing across 25 tournaments for a record-breaking $75 million prize pool. The event also builds on the success of EWC 2025, which attracted more than 750 million viewers worldwide.

Speaking about the partnership, Mohammad Al Nimer, Chief Commercial Officer of the Esports Foundation, praised France's historic role in competitive gaming, saying the country's passionate esports community has helped shape the industry's growth and makes it an ideal home for the tournament.

With national television now joining the world's largest esports event, EWC 2026 continues its mission of making competitive gaming more accessible while further establishing Paris as one of the world's leading esports destinations.
